WONDER EYES PROJECT


    BRAZIL

Program: In Jul/Aug. 2003, Wonder Eyes Photo Program was carried out in Brazil.
Participated a total of 112 Brazilian Children of the 4 states of Brazil -- down town of Rio de Janeiro, Prainha do Canto Verde the fisherman's village in Ceara (Northeast of Brazil), rapidly developing new state of Tocantins, three indigenous groups of Amazon (Karajas, Kraho, Xerente), new generation of Japanese descendent of Tome-Acu(Para), and they took freely photos.

Presented marvelous photographs taken by the Brazilian Children who participated in the photo program. Their flesh eyes describe about Brazil in different way, and their intuitive insight tells the essence of life.

Workshop and Cultural Exchange:
Carried out workhop of cultural exchange at the space of the photo exhibition in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia,
also Prainha de Canto Verde (Ceara) and Tome-Acu (Para) with the school children. Photo workshop using digital camera were also implemented (supported by CANON INC).
