Wonder Eyes Photo Program was carried out in Brazil in July-August 2003. A total of 112 Brazilian Children participated of the 4 states of Brazil -- down town of Rio de Janeiro, Prainha do Canto Verde the fisherman's village in Ceara (Northeast of Brazil), rapidly developing new state of Tocantins, three indigenous groups of Amazon (Karajas, Kraho, Xerente), new generation of Japanese descendent of Tome-Acu(Para). They took freely photos, and their pure eyes describe about Brazil in different way, and their intuitive insight tells the essence of life.

WONDER EYES PROJECT -- Brazil 2003

A total of 112 Brazilian Children took photos freely, enjoying, discovering something new in their daily life.

Para - Tome-Açu - Nikkei’s school children (new generation of Japanese descendent)

Ceara (Northeast of Brazil) - Prainha do Canto Verde the fisherman's village

Tocantins - Palmas (Capital of rapidly developing new state)

Indigenous communities of Tocantins (Karajas, Kraho, Xerente)

Rio - 3 communities of down town (morro de Cantagalo, Vigario Geral, Parada de Lucas)

Exhibition & Workshop in Brazil 2004 SEP/DEC

Photo exhibition tour was held in Brazil in 2004 in Sao Paulo, Rio and Brazilia, presented the photos taken by the children of Brazil and Japan, together with other countries of the world.  

Carried out exchange workshops of cultural exchange at the space of the photo exhibition in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, also Prainha de Canto Verde (Ceara) and Tome-Acu (Para) with the school children. Also with hoto workshops using digital camera.Their photos and messages were passed to the Japanese children.
